Mr. Pettis - 3rd Grade

Dear families,

Welcome to Third Grade! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your children, and to build a partnership with you so that we can all create a positive environment for our students to learn and grow. My name is Mr. Trey Pettis and this is my first year teaching at St. Anthony School here in Robstown!

To begin, I would like to share a little bit about myself. I am from Houston, Texas, and I enjoy Whataburger, Country music, watching Notre Dame Football, and Astros baseball. I attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. where I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Theology with a minor in Exercise and Sports Science. Currently I am a member of the Notre Dame Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE). As an ACE teacher I am currently working on my Master’s in Education, and participating in a faith-filled community program alongside ACE teachers from across the country. To learn more about the ACE program, visit ace.nd.edu or feel free to ask me any questions that you may have!

This school year I have the privilege of teaching your children subjects such as math, science, reading, writing, and religion! I hope to make our classroom a positive, productive, and safe learning environment for all of my students. Creating an environment where our students are comfortable and motivated to learn is extremely important to me, and I have full confidence that with your support we can foster this environment for our students.

As parents and guardians you all are your child’s primary educators and have been for their entire lives. Because of this, I ask to be partners with all of you so we can work together to help your child succeed. I can assure you that I will do my very best to help support your child in any way that I possibly can.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, I am here for you and your child. You may reach me at my email and phone number below, or you can call the school to talk to me over the phone. If you would like to schedule a meeting with me I would be happy to oblige!

Thank you all for taking the time to read this letter, and thank you for choosing to send your child to St. Anthony’s. I am so excited to work with you all this school year!

God Bless,

Mr. Pettis
