Middle School (6th-8th)

Middle School is designed to prepare our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students for the future academically and spiritually. Daily prayer, weekly mass, service projects, and class retreats are integrated in our curriculum to ensure that our students develop a servant heart. Our academic program focuses on preparing our students to be productive and dynamic citizens in the 21st century.

Organization and study skills are taught and reinforced daily via the use of school planners, Google Workspace for Education (formerly G Suite for Education) tools, and tutoring sessions. Daily homework and class projects are integral components of the curriculum as well as guest speakers and research projects. Communication with  parents via email, phone calls, and parent conferences ensure that the student is always held accountable for his/her actions, behavior, and academic success.

In addition to the academic requirements, all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students are required to complete 30 hours of service before promotion to the next grade level. There are many service opportunities provided during the course of the academic year. If unforeseen circumstances arise and a student is lacking some hours for completion, he/she may be eligible to obtain permission from the principal to complete any remaining service hours during the summer immediately following the current school year, under the principal’s supervision. This is the exception and all attempts must be made by the student to complete their 30 hours of service by April 30th. Extra hours may not roll over into the following year.
