8th Grade Assignments

Please open the assignment and after reading both student essays answer the questions.  After that you may work in groups or individually for the second half of the assignment. 

This is an open book quiz - please make sure that you read the questions carefully and answer appropriately. You may use the textbook, however you must work independently. You may ONLY use the textbook and no other resources such as online search engines.

You may research any person, event or topic studied in Chapter 16.  Try and make your research concise and stay away from something that is super broad.  Your research page should only be one page, 
try not to go to much over.
The paper should include 3 pages: Title Page, Research Page and Reference Page. 
You must use: Times New Roman Font, 12 point font, 1.5 spacing, 1" margins. Title Page should include title, your name and the date it is turned in. 

You should have a hardcopy of the assignment but just in case I have added it here as well. Make sure you listen carefully to the video.  

Please make sure to cite your sources. You must complete two sections of your choice from each lesson.  Make sure you use online sources to help you research each section.  Do not use the textbook as your only source.  

You may use google slides, google docs, or create a poster with the information.  Your method of presenting your information is up to you, however, if you choose something other than slides, docs or a poster please make sure to clear it with me first.

We are going to begin the study process for this unit to prepare for our test.  Remember, you may not use your notes for the test.  Below I have attached two quizlets.  Please review them, use flash cards and the other games to practice.  After practicing for a while, you may coordinate a live game amongst each other.
